It’s the relations that make the world go ‘round, not the money!
Networking is usually at the top of the ranking, if we ask our clients, what they think is important for the attendees of their meetings and events.
Networking is also what we want to do, when attending conferences and industry events.
Unfortunately, most of us don't perform well, when it comes to action and we actually have to talk to other people.
This a natural phenomenon, and we have to embrace the fact, that we are going out of our comfort zone when approaching a person, we don't know.
Accepting this, is the first step into Networking. Be brave, be YOU. Open up the conversation with a fact, an idea or a topic you might have heard at the event you are attending.
And don't start with a question that can be answered with yes or no! This might end up in a dead end.
When the first sentence is spoken, the door is open for a conversation. And as always, the more often you do it, the easier it becomes.
Try it! You will see how it works!
